Katoomba is the region’s largest town and is easily accessible by train. Dominated by Art Deco buildings the main street of this charming heritage town is full of great cafes and galleries as well as colourful murals. The “Grand Old Lady” of Katoomba is the Art Deco Carrington Hotel, located in the centre of town its lovely gardens set it back from the main street.
